Sailorville User Blogs
Hello, and glad to meet you
My name really is Joe Blow. My family name was anglicized to Blow at Ellis Island, and my evil parents named me Joseph. It was, I suppose, sort of a Boy Named Sue strategy. At least, I tell myself, they didn't name me low.
I sail and casually race a Hobie on a small lake in Michigan. Every few years, we charter a bigger cat in the Virgin Islands.
I look forward to meeting you.
Thanks For Being Here
Just wanted to introduce myself. My last name is Blow, and my evil parents gave me the first name of Joseph. It's a family name, and my dad was of the theory that the "Joe Blow" of quips was somehow derived from one of our ancestors.
I sale a Hobie on a lake in Michigan. I compete locally in races on the lake, but that's as competitive as I get.
When the checking account gets fat enough we charter a larger boat in the Caribbean for a week or two. I'm partial to the US Virgins.
Please Help Us Get Sailorville Ready For Launch
We are in the final laps of getting our new content and Web 2.0 community for sailors ready to launch. Much has been done, but much remains to be done.
We need your help. Please set up an account, and try out the features. Once you give it a spin, please give us some feedback - what's missing that needs to be here? What's here that just gets in the way? What is here but needs to be improved or changed to meet your needs?
We also plan to do a new layout and design for the actual launch. At present, the site is running on a barebones layout that just allows us to test functionality. Before we move out of Alpha and into Beta, we will reskin the site with a whole new look and feel.
